The impact and application of computers and communication in diverse fields such as industry, education, healthcare, business and many more have touched our daily life. The National Seminar on Recent Trends in Computing, Communication and Applications 2023 (Advances in IOT, AI and ML) - [RTCCA - 2023] sponsored by the World Bank assisted ‘Odisha Higher Education Program for Excellence and Equity’ (OHEPEE) is being organized to collate and present the latest development with realistic assessment of current trends in Computer Science with a focus on advances in IoT, AI and ML.

The Seminar is aimed to provide an intellectual platform for the academia, practitioners, corporate and research scholars to present their original work and exchange ideas and develop a new vision for the future. It is poised to include high quality contributed papers revealing the latest trends in respective field and communicating the same through standard research, analysis, measurement and simulations.

The two days seminar on Recent Trends in Computing, Communication and Applications (RTCCA) will be held by the Department of Computer Application, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, Odisha during 18-19 July 2023. Invited and contributed papers related to Recent Trends in Computing, Communication and Applications (RTCCA) will be considered for presentation and publication.

Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (MSCBU) (Erstwhile North Orissa University) was established by the Government of Odisha under the section 32 of the Odisha University Act, 1989 (Act 5 of 1989).

The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission under 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956 with effect from 15th February 2000 and 21st June 2006, respectively. MSCBU is recognized by Bar Council of India, IGNOU, NCTE and included in the list of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth universities.

Recently, it has been accredited with Grade A by NAAC.

It is envisioned that the University emerges as a powerful agent of disseminating and advancing knowledge, excellence and equity and fostering community linkage activities thereby contributing towards an enlightened and sustainable civil society.

The Department of Computer Application had a humble beginning in 2004 as a self-financing Department and received regular status Department of the university in 2012.

The department has its own dedicated building and infrastructures. The department strives to achieve excellence in teaching- learning, research and extension activities with emphasis on innovations.

Over a foundation of core values – quality, high academic standards and integrity- the department has progressed in a sustained manner.
